2/27/2025 <br />9 <br />Planning Board Meeting ~~~ Neighbors: Comments and Concerns <br />Well Verification Process <br />Just as a single-family home is required to submit a site plan to Orange County Health showing one or more <br />possible well locations, Fiddlehead is required to submit the same information to Public Water Supply Section of <br />the Division of Water Resources, NC Department of Environmental Quality <br />No permits for occupancy for a home in the case of the county jurisdiction, nor any home or community use in <br />the case of Fiddlehead with DWQ jurisdiction will be issued prior to their review and approval of not only the well, <br />but its proven water supply, above ground storage, and water quality treatment facilities to be licensed by the <br />state. <br />Number of Homes, Residents, Cars, Parking & Traffic <br />By reducing the size of the proposed neighborhood to 100 dwelling units, resident population and vehicles <br />owned by residents is reduced by 1/3. Parking spaces are and daily vehicle trips are also reduced. The <br />modified information is contained in tables that follow. <br />9
