Our slogan, "Southern
Service, Professional Results," reflects our commitment to quality and customer
satisfaction. In managing the maintenance of Orange County government properties, we
will provide comprehensive, professional services that not only meet but exceed
expectations. Our goal is to maintain a pristine and attractive environment at all properties
throughout the year. Below, we outline the specific strategies we will employ to achieve
these objectives:
Mowing Practices
Maintaining healthy, well-kept turf is a priority. To achieve this, we will perform 36-40
mowing sessions per property annually, ensuring that the grass is consistently trimmed
and well-manicured. We recognize that certain areas may require more frequent attention,
particularly high-traffic zones or areas with heavy public usage. As a result, we will adjust
the mowing schedule as necessary to ensure all areas remain pristine and in optimal
condition.
In addition, to minimize potential damage and improve efficiency, all mowers will be
equipped with chute blockers. This equipment prevents grass clippings from being
discharged onto non-grassy areas, reducing the risk of damage to sidewalks, roadways,
and structures. It also ensures thorough cleanup and promotes a more efficient mowing
process.
For areas that experience frequent public activity(such as during community events like
Hog Day), we will utilize turf growth regulators. These specialized plant hormones help to
control shoot growth without harming the overall health of the turf. By slowing growth in
these areas, we can maintain an uninterrupted service schedule and preserve the
appearance of the lawn, even during peak usage times.
Agricultural Technology and Weed Control
We take a proactive approach to controlling weeds and promoting healthy landscapes.
In late February, we will apply granular pre-emergent herbicide to the landscape beds to
prevent weed growth for up to six months. This preventative measure ensures that the
beds remain weed-free, allowing our team to focus on other essential tasks, particularly
during the busy spring and summer seasons.
Southern1 1
murraystandscapeservices.com . 27705
