Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution to release motor vehicle property tax values for nine(9)taxpayers <br /> with a total of nine (9) bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution to release property tax values for six (6) taxpayers with a total of <br /> eight (8) bills that will result in a reduction of revenue. <br /> d. Late Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> The Board considered twelve (12) untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> taxation for twelve (12) bills for the 2024 tax year. <br /> e. Advertisement of Tax Liens on Real Property <br /> The Board received a report on the amount of unpaid taxes for the current year that are liens on <br /> real property as required by North Carolina General Statute 105-369, and to approve, on or about, <br /> March 26, 2025, as the date set by the Board for the tax lien advertisement. <br /> f. Extension of the 2025 Listing Period <br /> The Board extended the 2025 Tax Listing Period until February 14, 2025 and adopted a resolution <br /> approving the extension. <br /> g. Resolution Authorizing Sale of Property for the Sheriff's Office <br /> The Board approved a resolution authorizing the sale of surplus ammunition to the Person County <br /> Sheriff's Office. <br />
