21 <br />24. COMPLIANCE WITH CHAPTER 122C <br />The Parties shall ensure that the programs and the services <br />provided through the LME comply with all applicable provisions of <br />Chapter 122C of the North Carolina General Statutes and the rules <br />adopted by the Commission and the Secretary, <br />25. MANNER OF APPOINTING PERSONNEL <br />Pursuant to N.C.G.S. §I22C-154, in a multi-county program, <br />employment of county program staff shall be as agreed upon by the <br />Parties. The Parties agree that the joint agency established under <br />this agreement shall appoint the officers, agents, and employees <br />necessary to execute the undertaking, The jurisdiction, authority, <br />rights, privileges, and immunities (including coverage under the <br />workers compensation laws) which the officers, agents, and employees <br />enjoy shall be enjoyed by them when they are acting pursuant to this <br />agreement and within the scope of their authority or the course of <br />their employment without regard to whether they are in Orange, Person <br />or Chatham County. <br />26. POWERS AND FONCTIONS TO. BE EXERCISED BY THE LME TO <br />Consistent with the availability of resources and the provision <br />of funding under this Agreement, the LME assumes responsibility and <br />authority sufficient to discharge its obligations under this <br />Agreement. <br />27. IMMUNITY FROM LIABILITY <br />The Parties acknowledge that each is immune from liability under <br />the doctrine of sovereign immunity and none waives its sovereign <br />immunity with regard to the exercise of the Undertaking or authorizes <br />^K,> ~;: <br />
