Given that the Town of <br />Hillsborough needed these appointments on November 16~', Chair Carey suggested inputting <br />his and Orange County Planning Board Chair, Jay Bryan's names, until such time that the <br />BOCC would have another chance to vote on these appointments. <br />At its October 3, 2005 meeting the BOCC approved a modified Memorandum of Agreement <br />(MOA) with the Town of Hillsborough for "Creation of a Strategic Growth Plan for Hillsborough <br />City Limits, Extraterritorial Planning Jurisdiction and Areas Designated as 10 Year and 20 Year <br />Transition in the Land Use Element of the Orange County Comprehensive Plan." <br />A selection committee composed of a Hillsborough Town Board representative and Town <br />Planning Board member plus an Orange County BOGC representative and County Planning <br />Board member will review consultant proposals and make a recommendation to the Town, The <br />proposed schedule calls for the committee to make its recommendation before the end of the <br />calendar year, <br />At this time, the Board is being asked to make one appointment from its membership as well as <br />one appointment from the membership of the County Planning Board, <br />In early 2006, the Board will be asked to make appointments to a Steering Committee to work <br />with the consultant throughout the process, "The Steering Committee will consist of not fewer <br />1'~. r'I ~ k i i .k L'~ Y~.i ~ i-_ =1 I ~ ~ ~^-n6 fL•~ ~ Ilhilp ~~} ~ i -r.-atpull ~, r; Jn~ <br />
