8 <br /> Page 2 of 2 Brock Bromberger <br /> Boards/Commissions applied for: <br /> Orange County Parks and Recreation Council <br /> Please explain how your background, education and experience is relevant to this board <br /> As seen with my experience I love to help out my local and global community in any way I can. <br /> Through all of my experience I have been able to show leadership, commitment, and creativity. I <br /> have shown leadership in all of my different community activities through representing my class <br /> in Student Government or through my ENGin or food pantry work I have shown leadership by <br /> finding a cause bigger than myself and helping in anyway I can. Through NHS I have been able <br /> to help leadership through action by helping plan various events and service work. I have also <br /> shown commitment to these activities by always showing up and doing whatever I can to make <br /> sure every activity I do for my community I make sure I do it the best I can. Finally the most <br /> important part of my experience is my creativity. Through Student Government, NHS, and ENGin <br /> I have shown creativity through party planning, fundraising, reaching out to people, planning <br /> lessons, talking, and coming up with new ideas to make all of my service the best it can be. <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br /> I want to serve on this board because I believe that if you want to see positive change and make <br /> your community as amazing as it can be, you should help out in any way you can! As a resident I <br /> want to ensure that all my Orange County neighbors wake up knowing their lives are a little <br /> easier thanks to the changes made through this board. Even if this joy a few extra parking spots <br /> or a new trail to hike on, I want to make sure OC residents can have the most pleasant day <br /> possible through I way I can. <br /> How would your participation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> Like everyone on the board I would be a member of the community wanting to make a positive <br /> change through the Parks and Rec department. I believe everyone deserves a space, whether <br /> this is from a new program or a new facility meant to help everyone. I am a member of the <br /> LGBTQ community and I think through experiences I have been through and my background I <br /> could help make sure that we create an environment where everyone, regardless of their <br /> identity, feels like they belong and can fully participate. I am also a teen driver which brings an <br /> entire new view point. I know how sometimes the roads can be scary and I would love to make it <br /> safer for the guardians of teen drivers and the drivers themselves. I would love to help innovate <br /> some ideas to help make driving a lot safer for everyone on the road. Though this is just an <br /> example as a teenager I could help bring a view point that maybe not always seen.
