I feel that I am easy to <br /> work with and would fit into the Orange County program nicely. 4-H is a network of youth-based <br /> organizations and I got an opportunity to join the local Orange County 4H club and work with <br /> county officials. I helped start a Kids Voting project, a part of Kids Voting NC. After weeks of <br /> hard work along with my team, we set up a mock election, literacy activities, and a creative crafts <br /> section and volunteered at Bonnie B Davis Agricultural center on voting day to help kids vote in <br /> the mock election. The preparation included creating multiple posters and sending out emails to <br /> government officials such as senators Graig Meyer, Eric Blankenburg, Laura Pichardo and <br /> Valerie Foushee for feedback. Another example is when me and a close friend started free Math <br /> Classes for 3-4 graders to improve their critical thinking. I also recently joined the Civil Air Patrol <br /> which gives lots of volunteering opportunities such as volunteering for the Veteran's Day <br /> Breakfast to help in the kitchen and serve food.
