I have <br /> spent a lot of time dispensing and counseling on opioids as well as significant experience in <br /> medication for substance abuse disorder. I have worked with different pharmacy organizations <br /> as well as with providers to come up with a way to deprescribe opioids and make sure everyone <br /> has access to and understands how to use narcan. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I have seen how bad the opioid crisis is and I work everyday to try to save lives. I am very <br /> interested in substance abuse disorder particularly with opioids and have taken many classes <br /> addressing the problems and helping to come up with solutions. <br /> Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br /> I have a unique perspective because I see many sides of the opioid epidemic.
