Do not install liquid glazing sealants when ambient and substrate temperature conditions are <br />outside limits permitted by glazing sealant manufacturer or below 40 deg F. <br /> <br />1.8 WARRANTY <br /> <br />A. Manufacturer's Special Warranty for Coated-Glass Products: Manufacturer's standard form, made out <br />to Owner and signed by coated-glass manufacturer agreeing to replace coated-glass units that <br />deteriorate as defined in "Definitions" Article, f.o.b. the nearest shipping point to Project site, within <br />specified warranty period indicated below. Manufacturing defects are defined as failure or hermetic <br />seal of air space (beyond that due to glass breakage) as evidenced by intrusion of dirt or moisture, <br />internal condensation or fogging, deterioration of protected internal glass coatings, if any, and other <br />visual indications of seal failure or performance; provided the manufacturer's instructions for handling, <br />installing, protecting and maintaining units have been complied with during the warranty period. <br />Warranty shall benon-prorated. <br />1. Warranty Period: 10 years from date of Substantial Completion. <br /> <br />B. Manufacturer's Special Warranty on Insulating Glass: Manufacturer's standard form, made out to <br />Owner and signed by insulating-glass manufacturer agreeing to replace insulating-glass units that <br />deteriorate as defined in "Definitions" Article, f.o.b. the nearest shipping point to Project site, within <br />specified warranty period indicated below. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide one of the products specified. <br />2. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide products by one of the <br />manufacturers specified. <br /> <br />2.2 GLASS PRODUCTS <br /> <br />A. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, manufacturers offering products <br />which may be incorporated in the work include; but are not limited to, the following: <br />1. AFG Industries, Inc. <br />2. LOF Glass, Inc. <br />3. PPG Industries, Inc. <br />4. Old Castle Glass, Inc. <br />5. Guardian Sun Guard <br /> <br />B. Annealed Float Glass: ASTM C 1036, Type I (transparent flat glass), Quality-Q3; of class indicated. <br /> <br />C. Heat-Treated Float Glass: ASTM C 1048; Type I (transparent flat glass); Quality-Q3; of class, kind, <br />and condition indicated. <br />1. Fabrication Process: By horizontal (roller-hearth) process with roll-wave distortion parallel to <br />bottom edge of glass as installed, unless otherwise indicated. <br />2. Provide Kind HS (heat-strengthened) float glass in place of annealed float glass where needed <br />to resist thermal stresses induced by differential shading of individual glass lites and to comply <br />with glass design requirements specified in Part 1 "Performance Requirements" Article. <br />3.
