At other locations indicated on the Drawings. <br />B. Topping <br />1. The topping shall be applied as a self-leveling system as specified by the Architect. The topping <br />shall be applied in one lift with a nominal thickness of 1/8 inch. <br />2. The topping shall be comprised of the product described above and includes three components: a <br />resin, hardener, and aggregate as supplied by the Manufacturer. <br />3. The topping shall be mixed and applied per Application Instructions (AI). <br />C. Broadcast coat <br />1. The broadcast coat shall be comprised of the product described above. <br />2. The broadcast coat shall be mixed and applied per AI. <br />3. The broadcast coat shall be applied over horizontal surfaces using a squeegee and cross rolled with <br />a 3/8-inch nap roller at the rate recommended by Manufacturer. <br />4. Chip aggregate or vinyl flake shall be broadcast to excess into the wet resin at the rate <br />recommended by the Manufacturer. <br />5. Allow material to fully cure. Scrape floor to remove excess flake and “shave” flake that sits <br />vertically. Vacuum, sweep and/or blow to remove all loose aggregate. <br /> <br />D. Groutcoat <br />1. The groutcoat shall be comprised of the product described mixed per the Manufacturer’s <br />instructions. <br />2. The groutcoat shall be applied using a squeegee and cross rolled with a 3/8-inch nap roller at the <br />rate recommended by the Manufacturer. <br />E. Final topcoat <br />1. The topcoat shall be comprised of the product described mixed per the Manufacturer’s <br />instructions. <br />2. The topcoat shall be applied using a squeegee and cross rolled with a 3/8-inch nap roller at the rate <br />recommended by Manufacturer. <br />F. Cove base <br />1. Apply cove base between flooring broadcast layers or after single broadcast layer. <br />2. Apply layers at the rate recommended by Manufacturer. <br />3. Apply topcoat simultaneously with floor topcoat at the rate recommended by Manufacturer. <br />4. Height: As indicated on the Drawings. <br />G. Expansion joints <br />1. Sawcut resinous flooring at expansion joints. <br />2. Fill with sand to 1/4-inch below level of finished floor. <br />3. Install backer rod and sealant in accordance with Section 07 90 00 “Joint Sealants.” <br /> <br />3.4 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br /> <br />A. Tests, Inspection <br />1. The following tests shall be conducted by the Applicator: <br />a. Temperature: Air and substrate temperatures and, if applicable, dew point. <br />b. Coverage Rates: Rates for all layers shall be monitored by checking quantity of material used against <br />the area covered. <br /> <br />3.5 CLEANING AND PROTECTION <br /> <br />A. Cure flooring material in compliance with Manufacturer’s directions, taking care to prevent their <br />contamination during stages of application and prior to completion of the curing process. <br /> <br />B. Remove masking.
