Especially <br />formulated for operating in environmentally sensitive areas. USDA certified biobased product, >90% bio- <br />based content, per ASTM D6866 <br />2.6 HOISTWAY ENTRANCES <br />A. The below is to govern as standard of quality where components are not explicitly described in the exhibits provided. <br />B. General: Provide manufacturer’s standard horizontal-sliding, door-and-frame hoistway entrances complete with track <br />systems, hardware, sills, and accessories. Provide frame size and profile to coordinate with hoistway wall <br />construction. <br />1. Where gypsum board wall construction is indicated, provide self-supporting frames with reinforced head <br />sections. <br />C. Materials and Fabrication: Provide manufacturer’s standards, but not less than the following: <br />1. Stainless-Steel Frames: Formed from stainless-steel sheet. <br />2. Stainless-Steel Doors and Transoms: Flush, hollow-metal construction; fabricated from stainless-steel <br />sheet. <br />3. Sight Guards: Provide sight guards on doors matching door edges. <br />4. Sills: Extruded metal, with grooved surface, 1/4 inch thick. <br />5. Nonshrink, Nonmetallic Grout: Factory-packaged, nonstaining, noncorrosive, nongaseous grout complying <br />with ASTM C 1107. <br />D. Doors and Frames: Provide complete hollow metal type hoistway entrances at each hoistway opening bolted\knock <br />down construction. <br />1. Manufacturer’s standard entrance design consisting of hangers, doors, hanger supports, hanger covers, fascia <br />plates, sight guards, and necessary hardware. <br />2. Main landing door & frame finish: Stainless steel panels, no. 4 brushed finish. <br />3. Typical door & frame finish: Stainless steel panels with no. 4 brushed finish. <br />E. Interlocks: Equip each hoistway entrance with an approved type interlock tested as required by code. Provide door <br />restriction devices as required by code. <br />F. Door Hanger and Tracks: Provide sheave type two point suspension hangers and tracks for each hoistway horizontal <br />sliding door. <br />1. Sheaves: Polyurethane tires with ball bearings properly sealed to retain grease. <br />2. Hangers: Provide an adjustable device beneath the track to limit the up-thrust of the doors during operation. <br />3. Tracks: Drawn steel shapes, smooth surface and shaped to conform to the hanger sheaves. <br />G. Hoistway Sills: Extruded metal, with groove(s) in top surface. Provide mill finish on aluminum. <br />2.7 CAR ENCLOSURES <br />A. The below is to govern as standard of quality where components are not explicitly described in the exhibits provided. <br />B. General: Provide enameled-steel car enclosures to receive wall panels, with car roof, access doors, power door <br />operators, and ventilation. <br />1. Provide standard railings complying with ASME A17.1 on car tops where required by ASME A17.1. <br />2. Provide finished car including materials and finishes specified below. <br />C. Materials and Finishes: Provide manufacturer’s standards, but not less than the following: <br />1. Plastic-Laminate Wall Panels: Plastic laminate adhesively applied to manufacturer’s standard core <br />with plastic-laminate panel backing and manufacturer’s standard protective edge trim. Panels have a <br />flame-spread index of 25 or less, when tested according to ASTM E 84.
