Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide basis of design, Otis HydroFit Mod, or equal <br />products by one of the following: <br />1. KONE Inc. <br />2. Schindler Elevator Co. <br />3. Thyssen Krupp <br />4. Fujitec America, Inc. <br />2.2 MATERIALS, GENERAL <br />A. General: Provide the following materials for exposed parts of elevator car enclosures, car doors, hoistway entrance <br />doors and frames, and signal equipment as indicated. <br />B. Cold-Rolled Steel Sheet: ASTM A 1008/A 1008M, commercial steel, Type B, exposed, matte finish. <br />C. Hot-Rolled Steel Sheet: ASTM A 1011/A 1011M, commercial steel, Type B, pickled. <br />1. Finish: Factory-applied baked enamel. <br />D. Stainless-Steel Sheet: ASTM A 240/A 240M, Type 304. <br />1. Textured Stainless-Steel Sheet: Product with texture rolled into exposed surface. <br />2. Metal surface is satin polished after rolling. <br />E. Stainless-Steel Bars: ASTM A 276, Type 304. <br />F. Stainless-Steel Tubing: ASTM A 554, Grade MT 304. <br />G. Aluminum Extrusions: ASTM B 221, Alloy 6063. <br />H. Plastic Laminate: High-pressure type complying with NEMA LD 3, Plastic laminate: Decorative high-pressure type, <br />, Type GP-50 General Purpose Grade, nominal 0.050" thickness. <br />I. Colors, patterns, and finishes: As selected by the Architect from manufacturer’s standard colors, patterns, and finish <br />charts. <br />J. Ceramic Tile: By others. <br />2.3 SYSTEMS AND COMPONENTS <br />A. The below is to govern as standard of quality where components are not explicitly described in the exhibits provided. <br />B. General: Provide manufacturer’s standard elevator systems. Where components are not otherwise indicated, provide <br />standard components published by manufacturer as included in standard pre-engineered elevator systems and as <br />required for complete system. <br />2.4 HOISTWAY EQUIPMENT <br />A. The below is to govern as standard of quality where components are not explicitly described in the exhibits provided. <br />B. Platforms: Fabricated frame of formed or structural steel shapes, gusseted and rigidly welded with a wood subfloor. <br />Underside of the platform shall be fireproofed. The car platform shall be designed and fabricated to support one-piece <br />loads weighing up to 25% of the rated capacity. <br />C. Slings: Steel stiles affixed to a steel crosshead and bolstered with bracing members to remove strain from the car <br />enclosure. <br />D. Guide Rails: Steel, omega shaped, fastened to the building structure with steel brackets. <br />E. D.
