Sand the entire surface of the concrete slab. <br />8. Sweep the concrete slab so as to remove all dirt and dust. If a sweeping compound is to be used it <br />must be a sweeping compound that does not contain oil or other items that may inhibit the <br />adhesive bond. <br />9. Subfloors must be clean, free of paint, dust, sealer, hardeners, grease, oil, solvents, old adhesive <br />and any other foreign substances that may act as a bond barrier. <br />10. Sealing of cracks, holes and, smoothing and leveling of rough, uneven surfaces, must be carried <br />out using a good quality Portland cement based leveling compound (feathering compound), <br />approved by the manufacturer. <br />11. The beginning of installation stipulates the acceptance of surface and site conditions. <br />12. Installation will not be carried out unless above conditions are satisfied. <br />B. Report any discrepancies to the General Contractor for correction. <br />3.3 INSTALLATION <br />A. The installation area shall be closed to all traffic and activity for a period to be set by the indoor resilient <br />athletic surfacing installer. The indoor resilient athletic surfacing installation shall not begin until the <br />installer is familiar with the existing conditions. <br />B. All necessary precautions should be taken to minimize noise, smell, dust, the use of hazardous materials <br />and any other items that may inconvenience others. <br />C. Install the indoor resilient athletic surfacing in strict accordance with the indoor resilient athletic <br />surfacing manufacturers written instructions. <br />D. Install the indoor resilient athletic surfacing minimizing cross seams. Provide a seam diagram during the <br />submittal process for approval prior to installation. <br />E. Paint game lines using approved game line paint primer and game line paint in strict accordance with the <br />game line paint manufacturers instructions. <br />F. Install appropriate threshold plates or transition strips where necessary. <br />3.4 CLEANING <br />A. A.Remove all unused materials, tools, and equipment and dispose of any debris properly. Clean the <br />indoor resilient athletic surfacing in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. <br />3.5 PROTECTION <br />A.
