Profiles that are sharp, straight, and free of defects or deformations. <br />2. Accurately fitted joints with ends coped or mitered. <br />3. Means to drain water passing joints, condensation within framing members, and moisture migrating within the <br />system to exterior. <br />4. Physical and thermal isolation of glazing from framing members. <br />5. Accommodations for thermal and mechanical movements of glazing and framing to maintain required glazing edge <br />clearances. <br />6. Provisions for field replacement of glazing from interior for vision glass and exterior for spandrel glazing or metal <br />panels. <br />7. Fasteners, anchors, and connection devices that are concealed from view to greatest extent possible. <br />C. Reinforcing: <br />1. Install reinforcing as required for hardware and as necessary for performance requirements, sag resistance and <br />rigidity. <br />2. Provide closer reinforcing at header. <br />3. Provide exit device strike reinforcing at jamb. <br />D. Storefront Framing: Fabricate components for assembly using shear-block system. <br />E. Entrance Door Frames: Reinforce as required to support loads imposed by door operation and for installing entrance door <br />hardware. <br />1. At exterior doors, provide compression weather stripping at fixed stops. <br />F. Entrance Doors: Reinforce doors as required for installing entrance door hardware. <br />1. At pairs of exterior doors, provide sliding-type weather stripping retained in adjustable strip and mortised into door <br />edge. <br />2. At exterior doors, provide weather drip caps & sweeps applied to door bottoms. <br />G. Entrance Door Hardware Installation: Factory install entrance door hardware to the greatest extent possible. Cut, drill, and <br />tap for factory-installed entrance door hardware before applying finishes. <br />H. Dissimilar Metals: Separate dissimilar metals with bituminous paint, or a suitable sealant, or a nonabsorptive plastic or <br />elastomeric tape, or a gasket between the surfaces. Do not use coatings containing lead. <br />I. Continuity: Maintain accurate relation of planes and angles with hairline fit of contacting members. <br />1. Uniformity of Metal Finish: Abutting extruded aluminum members shall not have an integral color or texture <br />variation greater than half the range indicated in the sample pair submittal. <br />J. Fasteners: Conceal fasteners wherever possible. <br />K. After fabrication, clearly mark components to identify their locations in Project according to Shop Drawings. <br />2.10 ALUMINUM FINISHES <br />A. Anodic Finish: AAMA 611, AA-M12C22A42/A44, Class I, 0.018 mm or thicker. <br />B. Color: Clear Anodized <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 EXAMINATION <br />A. Examine areas and conditions, with Installer present, for compliance with requirements for installation tolerances and other <br />conditions affecting performance of the Work. <br />B.
