OCTS staff requests <br /> the following be addressed: <br /> Multimodal Recommendations: <br /> On October 18, 2022, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners adopted a <br /> County wide Vision Zero and Complete Street Policy (Attachment 1). Staff recommends <br /> TIA include bike, pedestrian and transit consideration. NC 54 is a multimodal corridor <br /> scheduled for approval by the Board of County Commissioners in September 2023. Any <br /> traffic mitigation strategies associated with NC 54 (e.g. NC 54 at Morrow Mill Road) for <br /> must accommodate bike, pedestrian and transit. <br /> Per previous discussion in June on Bus Shelter: <br /> • Install Bus Shelter per NCDOT approved vendor <br /> Highway Recommendations: <br /> NC 54 at Morrow Mill Road <br /> • No additional improvements recommended <br /> Morrow Mill Road at Site Access A <br /> • Install sidewalk on east side of Morrow Mill Road <br /> • Include ADA ramps and crosswalks <br /> Gold Mill Loop at Site Access B <br /> • Install sidewalk on north side of Gold Mill Loop <br /> • Include ADA ramps and crosswalks <br /> Thank you very much for the opportunity to review and provide comments.
