This could be achieved by increasing <br /> allowable densities and creating new mixed-use zoning districts where adequate <br /> public services are available. <br /> Land Use Objective LU-2.4 <br /> Evaluate the development potential in rural crossroads communities to identify <br /> whether current regulations permit appropriate development that is in character with <br /> these communities, and whether potential development in these areas would require <br /> significant expansions or cause depletions of public services. <br /> Land Use Goal 3 <br /> A variety of land uses that are coordinated within a program and pattern that limits <br /> sprawl, preserves community and rural character, minimizes land use conflicts, <br /> supported by an efficient and balanced transportation system. <br /> Land use Objective LU-3.9 <br /> Create new zoning district(s) which allow for a mixing of commercial and residential <br /> uses, a mixing of housing types, and creates a more pedestrian friendly development <br /> pattern.
