23
option to build an additional home as the community grows. For more information, please
visit 2T's website (www.2TNC.org) and H4D's website, which is under development
(www.fidd lehead.coop).
Mr. Cheek's retained 35 acres include the vineyard and the existing house on the corner of
Morrow Mill Road and Gold Mine Loop. A maximum of five additional homesites will be
developed, which will be built over time and be provided with conventional individual wells
and septic systems. Mr. Cheek can choose to sell his remaining land to his children, but any
other sale of Mr. Cheek's retained 35 acres is subject to a 25-year, contractual agreement
with H4D for right of first refusal for purchase of part or all of the property.
H4D and Tom Cheek are committed to cooperation for the mutual benefit of both parties. It is
our common goal to build a community based on principles of sustainability and conservation
while preserving as much of this forested land as possible.
The Journey, Pg 3
