She said they are looking for funding to <br /> preserve the land. She said it could be a model for working with developers on how to conserve <br /> land. She said she attended the ABC Board meeting, and they were thankful for the Board of <br /> Commissioners approving the changes they requested to salaries and stipends. <br /> Commissioner Hamilton said she attended an event honoring Dr. Harold Russell through <br /> the Chapel Hill Historical Society. She highlighted his accomplishments and service to the <br /> community. She said on November 11t" she attended the Orange County Veterans Day program. <br /> She said on November 14t" she also attended the Justice United meeting. She said that she <br /> attended an Advisory Board on Aging meeting. She said they reviewed the legislative priorities <br /> of seniors, and she will be bringing those back to the commissioners for their consideration. <br /> Commissioner McKee said he attended a Boy Scout troop meeting the previous day. He <br /> said they asked good questions about being a commissioner and they had a good conversation <br /> about being engaged in the community. He said he received a call from the Orange County Board <br /> of Education, and they said they were unaware that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> previously had a discussion of how the bond funding could be spent.
