Detention Center operational costs <br /> 4 are currently grouped with the rest of the Sheriff's Office operations. The Budget Office <br /> 5 is working with the Sheriff's Office to create a discrete Detention Center division for the <br /> 6 FY 2025-26 Budget. <br /> 7 • Implementing in-person visitation. The Sheriff's Office indicates that in-person visition <br /> 8 will begin in December on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. <br /> 9 • Implementing detainee programming in partnership with the Criminal Justice Resource <br /> 10 Department. <br /> 11 • Creating a station for two (2) housing officer posts in the housing area to supervise the <br /> 12 housing units, conduct well being checks, and facilitate detainee movement from <br /> 13 housing. This will require the installation of detention appropriate furniture and fixtures. <br /> 14 A budget for these improvements is under development. <br /> 15 • Authorizing a total of 39 Detention Officer positions for Detention Center and Transport <br /> 16 Team.
