2 <br /> RES-2025-001 Attachment ] <br /> Resolution Certifying and <br /> Approving Results of School Bond Referendum <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Elections has certified the following <br /> results of the bond referendum held in and for Orange County, North Carolina, on <br /> November 5, 2024, as follows: <br /> On the question of the approval of$300 million general obligation school bonds <br /> for Orange County, <br /> YES 56,138 NO 27,040 <br /> and it therefore appearing that a majority of voters voting in the referendum have <br /> approved the issuance of these bonds, <br /> BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Orange <br /> County, North Carolina, that the Board certifies and approves these results and <br /> declares the issuance of the bonds to be authorized; and, <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board directs the Clerk to this Board to <br /> publish promptly a statement of these results in the form prescribed by law. <br /> * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> I certify as follows: that the foregoing resolution was properly adopted at a <br /> meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Orange County, North Carolina; that this <br /> meeting was properly called and held on , 2025; that a quorum was <br /> present and acting throughout this meeting; and that this resolution has not been <br /> modified or amended, and remains in full effect as of today. <br /> Dated this day of ) 2025. <br /> [SEAL] <br /> Laura Jensen <br /> Clerk, Board of Commissioners <br /> Orange County, North Carolina <br />
