STAFF REPORT/UPDATES 59 <br />a. MPO, RPO, and NCDOT 60 <br />Nish provided updates on key projects. The I-40 widening has experienced delays and is now expected 61 <br />to be completed in 2026. New Draft STIP is anticipated in June 2025. Following a recent tragic incident 62 <br />involving a fatality on Hwy 70, speed reduction and safety improvements in the area have become a 63 <br />higher priority. Efforts to address these concerns will involve close collaboration with NCDOT. 64 <br /> 65 <br />AGENDA ITEM 8: ADJOURNMENT 66 <br />OUTBoard meeting was adjourned at 7:38pm.
