Orange County Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan 34
Nish T. presented the final Transportation Multimodal Plan, the plan includes approximately 300 35
projects, focusing entirely on rural Orange County. The comprehensive draft document includes details 36
of the public engagement process, analysis, and summary, as well as the prioritization and scoring 37
methodologies, and all comments received during the planning process. The primary change involved 38
removing town projects. Despite this consolidation and thorough documentation of the planning 39
process, schedule, and purpose, there was discussion about the challenges of limited public response 40
to county plans. Discussion was held on the bike/ped map as being incorporated into the Transportation 41
Multimodal Plan. When Stantec completes the bike/ped plan, it will be incorporated into it. 42
43
Art M. made the recommendation to move the public engagement comments to an appendix, so it was 44
not the first information viewed. This would be consistent with the Short-Range Transit Plan. 45
46
