The mission helps to create loving and safe communities where
families and children are empowered to thrive emotionally, relationally, and
holistically. The center currently offers 9 evidence-based or evidence-informed
programs and a 24-hour crisis line in 7 counties in the triangle/triad area including
our home counties of Alamance and Orange Counties.
The Family Center has 27 years of experience in administering grant funds, meeting
proposed budgets and timetables, and providing successful trauma prevention
services in the communities we serve. The agency has been offering Parent Aide
services in Alamance County for 27 years, in Orange County for 17 years, and
expanded into other counties in 2016. Parenting classes have been offered
successfully to families for 27 years in Alamance, offered to Orange County families
for 17 years, and 10 years directly in Orange County. The agency has decades of
experience with in-home visitation and parenting education to address complex
childhood trauma.
The agency applied back in 2021-2022 and never heard back from the Orange County
Living Wage organization. We attempted to follow up in 2022-2023 but again no
response so the agency is reapplying in 2024. The income for this application for the
workers is $16.48 with benefits and $18 part time.
Docusign Envelope ID: A5B4FFD3-9664-4EA0-9937-6709C85D11FD
