8 <br /> Slide #15 <br /> EngagementObjectives <br /> • Takeaways from Community Engagement Window#2 to Apply to <br /> Community Engagement Window#3 <br /> Engagement satisfaction:continue to offer multiple ways to participate with <br /> creative,fun,flexible,and accessible options <br /> • Representative engagement:Continue creating partnerships/connections and <br /> tailoring outreach efforts to support representative participation(such as <br /> African American,Hispanic/Latino,and Asian community members;youth;etc.) <br /> • Increased engagement:Community Engagement Window#3 will occur in the <br /> spring of 2025 to continue to increase overall engagement numbers. <br /> Chair Bedford said that they are requesting that one of the sites for the next round of <br /> engagement be in Carrboro or Chapel Hill. <br /> Commissioner Richards asked who the partners were for events. <br /> Emily Gvino said Jones Grove Baptist Church, Efland Cheeks Community Center, and El <br /> Centro. <br /> Commissioner Richards asked for clarification on the number surveys that were <br /> completed. <br /> Emily Gvino said that 420 surveys were completed in total, with 305 completed online, <br /> and the rest completed in person. <br /> Cy Stober, Planning Director, said the paper surveys were entered by staff. <br /> Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked if most of the online surveys were completed in <br /> November or earlier on. She said that she heard a resident say the timeline should be extended. <br /> Emily Gvino said the majority were around October 23-28th but she can provide more <br /> detailed data. She said that it is most active when surveys first launch. <br /> Cy Stober said online participation only spikes in participation after engagement events in <br /> October, and there is another big spike when the County Manager sent the survey to employees <br /> to complete.
