Service Agreement for Public Safety Communications Radio System and Approval of <br /> Budget Amendment #2-F <br /> The Board approved an agreement to provide service and maintenance for the Motorola Solutions <br /> radio system equipment in the Primary and Backup Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and <br /> approve Budget Amendment#2-F. <br /> o. Purchase of Vehicles for Planning & Inspections and Emergency Services Departments <br /> The Board approved and authorized Orange County Fleet Services to: <br /> 1) purchase three (3) Chevy Electric Equinox FWD (front wheel drive) vehicles for the <br /> purpose of conducting inspections and performing other duties as needed for the Planning <br /> & Inspections Department; and <br /> 2) purchase two (2) Chevy Silverado 1500 vehicles and one (1) Chevy Silverado 2500 <br /> vehicle for first responders with the Emergency Services Department. <br /> p. Purchase of Solid Waste Vehicles for Recycling Collection and Tire Hauling and <br /> Approval of Budget Amendment#2-G <br /> The Board approved Budget Amendment #2-G, and approved and authorized Orange County <br /> Solid Waste to purchase: <br /> 1) a LaBrie 33 cubic yard Automizer Tip to Dump Side Loader for the purpose of collecting <br /> residential and commercial recyclable materials; <br /> 2) Two (2) Freightliner M2-106 with Heil PT1000 rear-loader vehicles for the purpose of <br /> collecting residential recyclable materials; and <br /> 3) a Western Star 47X Road Tractor for the purpose of transporting tires to the tire recycling <br /> processor. <br /> q. Services Contract Award for Justice Facility Fire Alarm System Replacement <br /> The Board: <br /> 1) Approved the County entering into a service contract with Siemens Industry, Inc. for the <br /> replacement of the Justice Facility Fire Alarm system; and <br /> 2) Authorized the County Manager to execute the Agreement, subject to final review by the <br /> County Attorney, and any subsequent amendments for contingent and unforeseen <br /> requirements up to the approved budget amount on behalf of the Board. <br /> r. Family Caregivers Month and Caregiver Day of Care Proclamation <br /> The Board approved a proclamation recognizing November 2024 as Family Caregivers Month in <br /> Orange County and designating November 16, 2024 as Orange County's Caregiver Day of Care. <br /> s. Continuation of Takeaway Meals Program and In-Home Services Program and Approval <br /> of Budget Amendment #2-H <br /> The Board approved the continuation of the Department on Aging Takeaway Meals Program and <br /> In-Home Services Program previously funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and <br /> approve Budget Amendment#2-H. <br /> t.
