1 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br /> Meeting Date: December 10, 2024 <br /> Action Agenda <br /> Item No. 8-j <br /> SUBJECT: Ratification of Manager Signed Intergovernmental Agreements <br /> DEPARTMENT: County Attorney <br /> ATTACHMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: <br /> John Roberts, County Attorney, 919- <br /> 245-2318 <br /> PURPOSE: To acknowledge and ratify various intergovernmental agreements signed by the <br /> Manager as previously authorized by the Board of Commissioners. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Board of Commissioners, through Section XV of the budget ordinance, <br /> authorizes the County Manager to execute intergovernmental agreements. Those agreements <br /> are then reported to the BOCC by the County Attorney. The following agreements were executed <br /> by the Manager in 2024: <br /> 1) Interlocal agreement with Durham County in which Orange County Cooperative Extension <br /> provides 20% of its livestock agent's time to Durham County, which does not have a <br /> dedicated livestock agent. Expires June 30, 2025. Revenue to County is at least $15,000 <br /> annually. Amount to be renegotiated based upon actual costs each year. <br /> 2) Memorandum of agreement between Orange County and the Alliance Health for funding <br /> of the Bridge Housing program in Orange County. Expires June 30, 2025. Total cost to <br /> the County is $168,737. <br /> 3) Memorandum of agreement between Orange County and the Alliance Health for funding <br /> of the Post Overdose Response Team in Orange County. Expires June 30, 2025. Total <br /> revenue to the County is $201,484. <br /> 4) Memorandum of agreement between Orange County and the Alliance Health for funding <br /> of the Crisis Assistance, Response and Engagement Team in Orange County. Expires <br /> June 30, 2025. Total revenue to the County is $579,500. <br /> 5) Memorandum of agreement between Orange County and the Alliance Health for <br /> management of County-funded mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities and <br /> substance use services provided to residents of Orange County. Expires June 30, 2025. <br /> Cost to the County is $964,682. <br />
