He said that he has received feedback from the community that people need this service. <br /> 3 Chair Bedford asked if the county needs to lobby the legislative delegation for someone <br /> 4 to come and deliver the meal. <br /> 5 Travis Myren said that the congregate meal program only provides funding for congregate <br /> 6 meals so it would have to be expanded to include take-way meals. <br /> 7 Chair Bedford said she would like to consider that for the legislative agenda because some <br /> 8 people could not physically come to meals. <br /> 9 Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked what in-home services are provided. <br /> 10 Travis Myren said that is for in-home aides who help with daily tasks for 36 citizens. <br /> 11 Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked how many hours a day they are provided services. <br /> 12 Travis Myren said he is not sure how many hours. <br /> 13 Vice-Chair Greene said they approved on second reading the naming of the southern <br /> 14 branch library as the Drakeford Library Complex. She said that the name is from Robert <br /> 15 Drakeford, and he was Carrboro's first Black mayor. <br /> 16 Chair Bedford asked if there was an update on this project. <br /> 17 Travis Myren said they are expecting a ribbon cutting ceremony in February 2025. <br /> 18 Commissioner McKee expressed appreciation to Vice-Chair Greene for working on the <br /> 19 naming committee. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 10.
