Describe how these efforts <br /> will support the jurisdiction's Consolidated Plan. <br /> An office of the State of North Carolina's "NC Works"job training and employment program is located in <br /> Chapel Hill. NC Works provides job search assistance, resume writing assistance, career information, and <br /> job education and training opportunities. <br /> Durham Technical Community College has a campus just south of Hillsborough that offers both <br /> academic credit and continuing education programs.The campus also offers a "Health Care Core <br /> Pathways" curriculum that provides students with a baseline from which to complete a number of <br /> healthcare-related degrees, including an Associate's Degree in Nursing or Respiratory Therapist <br /> certification. <br /> Given the substantial amount of employment opportunities—both currently-available and forecasted— <br /> within the healthcare field, it seems that the community college's focus on healthcare careers is well- <br /> justified and supports the Consolidated Plan. <br /> Does your jurisdiction participate in a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy <br /> (CEDS)? <br /> Yes <br /> If so, what economic development initiatives are you undertaking that may be coordinated <br /> with the Consolidated Plan?
