5 <br /> Adoption Process and Next Steps: <br /> Across each County, a framework has been drafted to guide appropriate documents to their <br /> approving bodies by the end of Fiscal Year 2022-23 (June 30, 2023): <br /> • Durham County, Orange County, DCHC MPO and GoTriangle, per the Transit Governance <br /> ILAs, will all need to review and approve the Comprehensive Participation Agreements, <br /> Financial Policies & Procedures, Work Program Amendment Policies, SWG Bylaws & <br /> Operating Procedures. <br /> Local jurisdictions in Orange County took the following actions: <br /> Carrboro — May 23, 2023 <br /> Approved unanimously <br /> Chapel Hill — May 24, 2023 <br /> Approved unanimously <br /> Hillsborough — May 30, 2023 <br /> Approved unanimously <br /> Mebane — June 5, 2023 <br /> Approved unanimously <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Orange County receives quarterly reimbursements from Go Triangle for all <br /> Orange County specific projects in the Orange County multi-year transit vision plan and as <br /> approved in the annual work programs. Orange County does not receive any funds where local <br /> jurisdictions or regional agency are the project sponsor (e.g. Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, <br /> Mebane, and GoTriangle). <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are applicable <br /> to this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION AND <br /> INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or color; <br /> religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national origin or ethnic <br /> background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential or economic status. <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding necessary <br /> for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for themselves and their <br /> dependents. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: The following Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact is applicable to this item: <br /> • CLEAN OR AVOIDED TRANSPORTATION <br /> Implement programs that monitor and improve local and regional air quality by: 1) <br /> promoting public transportation options; 2) decreasing dependence on single-occupancy <br /> vehicles, and 3) otherwise minimizing the need for travel. <br />
