The owner had to <br /> care for her father and stepfather who were in the hospital earlier this year. During this hard <br /> time, she forgot to mail in the form and did not realize the mistake until notified of the late <br /> filing. The business is going through a rough time, and it would help a great deal if they did not <br /> have to pay the $530.75 penalty fee.We appreciate the help in this matter. <br /> Evidence submitted by the county representative: <br /> • The business did have an extension in place to allow for filing the Business Personal Property <br /> listing form by April 15,2024. However,the listing was received July 3,2024. As this was <br /> after the deadline,the penalty was applied to the account for 2024 property tax billing. <br /> • The history of the account shows that since 2014 they have listed on time, except for tax year <br /> 2015.
