Fiscal Year 2024-25 Ambulance Purchase <br /> The Board approved and authorized the Manager to sign all documents necessary for the <br /> procurement of three (3)Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances and the advanced purchase <br /> of one (1) Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance. <br /> g. North Carolina Forest Service Lease of a Portion of the Bonnie B. Davis Environmental <br /> and Agricultural Center <br /> The Board: <br /> 1) Reviewed the lease for a portion of the Bonnie B. Davis Environmental and Agricultural <br /> Center to the North Carolina Forest Service; and <br /> 2) Adopted the resolution that approves the lease; and <br /> 3) Authorized the County Manager to sign the lease upon final review by the County <br /> Attorney. <br /> h. Renewal of County's Lease of 115 East King Street, Hillsborouqh for the Orange County <br /> Public Defender's Office <br /> The Board reviewed a renewal agreement for the County to continue leasing space for the Orange <br /> County Public Defender's Office at 115 East King Street, Hillsborough, and approved and <br /> authorized the Manager to sign the lease renewal upon final review by the County Attorney. <br /> i. Construction Bid Award for the Motor Pool, Maintenance Shop, and Public <br /> Transportation Automatic Transfer Switches and Generator Power <br /> The Board: <br /> 1) Approved a construction contract with Hamlett Associates for the automatic transfer <br /> switch installation at the Motor Pool facility, the installation of an automatic transfer switch <br /> and generator at the Public Transportation Administrative Building, and the installation of <br /> an automatic transfer switch and existing generator at the Maintenance Shop; and <br /> 2) Authorized the County Manager to execute the Agreement, subject to final review by the <br /> County Attorney, and any subsequent amendments for contingent and unforeseen <br /> requirements up to the approved budget amount on behalf of the Board. <br /> j. Approval of a Revised Professional Engineering Services Contract with Schnabel <br /> Engineering South, P.C. for the Lake Orange Intake Tower Rehabilitation-Replacement <br /> Project <br /> The Board approved a revised professional engineering services contract in the amount of <br /> $288,000 with Schnabel Engineering South, P.C. for the Lake Orange Perimeter Survey project. <br /> k. Soccer.com Center— Naming Rights Agreement Renewal <br /> The Board approved the renewal of a naming rights license agreement, for a period of five years, <br /> between Orange County and Sports Endeavors, Incorporated, for naming rights to the Orange <br /> County soccer center on West Ten Road, known as the Soccer.com Center. <br /> I. Fire Prevention Week Proclamation <br /> The Board approved the proclamation as part of item 4-e earlier in the meeting. <br /> m. Approval of Board of Commissioners Meeting Calendar for Year 2025 <br /> The Board approved the meeting schedule for the Board of Commissioners for calendar year <br /> 2025. <br /> 9. County Manager's Report <br /> Travis Myren reminded the board about the Joint Meeting with Chief's Association, and <br /> Regular Work Session Items on October 8'. He said all Emergency Services personnel have <br /> returned with the exception of Kirby Saunder, Emergency Services Director, who will return <br /> October 6tn <br /> 10. County Attorney's Report <br /> John Roberts had no report for the Board. <br />
