He said it should be clearer and easier <br /> to enforce and approve. He said with the landscaping buffers currently required, there are several <br /> instances where further interpretation is needed from the Director or Deputy Director. He said he <br /> feels this is much clearer language so should also be easier for an applicant to draw up. He said <br /> separately from this, Planning has a planting guide that promotes native plants and they have <br /> received feedback that it provides a lot of clarity. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> open the public hearing. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br /> There was no one signed up to speak. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> close the public hearing. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> A motion was made by Vice-Chair Greene, seconded by Commissioner Richards, to <br /> approve the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 1) and the ordinance (Attachment 2) with the <br /> following changes: <br /> • 6.8.5(A)(3), deletion of the letter "e" in the word "ore" <br /> • 6.8.9(A)(1), "When considering Section 6.8.5(A)(6) and (7) and Section 6.8.9(C)(6) during <br /> review of the landscape and tree preservation plan, the Planning Director may add <br /> additional tree protection areas when determining the exact location of any tree protection <br /> fencing." <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
