OCHD – The OCHD Way by The Carden Group Page 1 Orange County Health Department (OCHD) Creating A Culture of Excellence - Leadership By Design Process Description/Purpose OCHD – The OCHD Way The purpose of this initiative is to help Orange County Health Department (OCHD) create leadership development and even better teamwork, that will help them to continue building a strong future, culture and work environment. To do that The Carden Group (TCG) would help create the proper development for leaders within OCHD by providing ideas and ways to develop and improve the performance of their management team and their teams. TCG would focus on continuing to help develop the right skills, habits, behaviors, attitudes and processes to ensure a strong working environment that leads to better outcomes for OCHD. Also, to ensure OCHD leaders have the proper skillset to create an even better future. •Continue to strengthen and develop proper skillsets •Strengthen working relationships for better outcomes •Create even stronger team member engagement •Continue creating clarity and alignment around goals and expectations at all levels •Ensuring everyone understands their value and impact they have within their role •Ensuring proven methods of development that lead to predictable results Background OCHD believes there is an opportunity to develop their upper-level leaders and team members to help create an even better path forward to even better results. Better staff retention, engagement, safety, and overall work environment will be some of the goals for OCHD. TCG will help leaders drive even better outcomes at all levels. This approach will collaborate with all existing OCHD efforts around culture and engagement. This includes an estimated 115 total staff and a direct focus on an estimated 6-15 leaders.
