Community Impact BAC frequent attendees include children and their parents, people with
disabilities, elders, women who work in caring professions, retirees looking
for positive creative outlets, and LGBTQ+ folks. I request your support to
increase access to the arts for all of these individuals and groups with free
programming.
Over the course of 6 classes, over 120 individuals will receive a free 3
hours of instructional and open art-making with 1 lead and 1 guest
instructor. Classes hold a capacity of 20 participants with 1 lead facilitator,
1 guest artist, and 1 volunteer class assistant. BAC participants range in
age from 8-88 and everything taught in class is adapted to be accessible at
multiple skill and ability levels. Adaptive tools such as a mic/amp, lighted
magnifiers, large pencil/paintbrush grips, and pick-up tools for collage are
used in every applicable class.
The BAC newsletter also shares opportunities about local art events, show
openings, and calls for art. Students often view galleries on class breaks,
and frequent First Friday at Eno Arts Mill as they feel they have a personal
connection. Many BAC participants have submitted and been accepted to
gallery shows at the Mill for their first time exhibiting work.
Docusign Envelope ID: CD805924-E172-4469-AB18-059F16D3CD8D
