  <br />ATTACHMENT A  <br />SCOPE OF WORK  <br />Jamie Paulen  <br />October thru December, 2024  <br />  <br />1. Provide legal and professional services on behalf of the Fair Housing Program in the Orange  <br />County Department of Housing. These services may be billed at up to $185/hr with a  <br />maximum payment of $30,000.  <br />   <br />2. Assist Department Director and/or Fair Housing Program staff with invesƟgaƟng and closing  <br />a minimum of three (3) Fair Housing cases by November 26, 2024.  <br />  <br />a. Research and implement HUD-FHAP invesƟgatory pracƟces.  <br />  <br />b. Send noƟces and Requests for InformaƟon (RFIs) to complainants, respondents and  <br />other witnesses as needed.  <br />  <br />3.  Assist Director and/or Fair Housing Program staff with the necessary documentaƟon to close the           <br />cases in HUD Enforcement Management System (HEMS).  <br />4.  Review and ensure compliance by the Fair Housing Program with all HUD Performance  <br />Improvement Plan (PIP) requirements, including the necessary correcƟve acƟons listed in the PIP  <br />dated 9/18/24.  <br />5.  Meet with Director and EvicƟon Diversion Legal Counsel, as needed.   <br />6.  Meet with Division supervisor weekly for rouƟne check in.  <br />   <br />Docusign Envelope ID: A8683460-77E4-430D-BF9A-1921CA9D3B89
