Churton Street, Hillsborough. Effective July <br />1, 2004, the Human Rights and Relations offices will be relocated to County property at 501 W. <br />Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, and the Family Counseling function will be relocated back to the <br />Whiffed Building. During the HVAC replacement project, OPC Adult Day Treatment (ADT) <br />temporarily relocated from the Whiffed Building to two suites at 501 W Franklin Street. As part <br />of OPC's reorganization, Family Counseling and Adult Day Treatment will merge services into <br />one department. Orange County plans to renovate the space in Whiffed formerly occupied by <br />Adult Day Treatment along with an unoccupied adjacent conference room for the merged <br />department. <br />The Human Rights and Relations Department will occupy one of the suites currently occupied <br />by ADT at the Franklin Street location. Minimal change will be required at 501 W Franklin <br />Street for Human Rights and Relations and will be handled by Public Works, <br />Upfit of the space at Whiffed for the OPC function will entail subdividing the open spaces in the <br />existing spaces to create new office space, complete with electrical and HVAC, The Public <br />Works Director and the Purchasing and Central Services Director have worked extensively with <br />the Family Counseling and ADT staff to arrive at a suitable floor plan far the efficient operation <br />of the merged functions (see attached floor plan), From those discussions, plans and <br />specifications were developed to create the following spaces: <br />• Eleven (11) new offices <br />
