Is the person in
charge of this
program or project
different from the
Authorizing Official?
No
W hat are you
requesting funding
for?
Operational expense (arts organizations ONLY)
Request Summary CHW T has been operating out of our current woodturning studio location
for the past 7 years at a current monthly rent of $850/month. W e have just
recently been able to renegotiate the rent to remain at $850/month for a 12
month term beginning 7/1/24, after which the rent will probably increase
substantially. The landlord kept the rent the same after many members
individually helped him with regards to improvements at the property.
Organization leadership is actively searching for a new location that will
allow us a larger shop to better accommodate members and students,
however the current situation with the real estate market is making any
move considerably more expensive.
Request is for $5,000
Organizational Goals Grant funds will allow CHW T to maintain our current fee of $25 for student
turning at our open turning sessions that are held on Fridays
and Saturdays as well as maintaining the current $130/session fee for our
monthly specialty workshops. Preserving working capital will
allow CHW T to better prepare for the inevitable move to a new location,
through which we can continue our community outreach projects including
instructing students and contributions of turned items to the community.
How will you
evaluate whether or
not your goals have
been met?
Continued and increasing attendance of the open turning and workshop
sessions without having to reduce working capital.
Docusign Envelope ID: D2DDD443-AAE4-42FB-A56E-C407DEC271B8
