Project/Program <br />Summary <br />Carrboro Elementary School aims to host four artists/performing groups <br />during the 2024-2025 school year, reaching over 520 students. <br />Performances will feature multiple art forms including dance, music, theater <br />and performance art. These artists/performers include: <br />Palenke Cuban Dance accompanied by Brevan Hampden Trio <br />NCYTE - North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble <br />Jason A Mullinax - The Science of Sound: How sound travels through air, <br />water, and objects through musical instruments made from everyday <br />objects and materials <br />UNC Zanki - African Dance Troupe <br />Project Start Date <br />(no earlier than July <br />1, 2024) <br />September 1, 2024 <br />Project End Date (no <br />later than June 30, <br />2025) <br />June 15, 2025 <br />Project Goals For the 2024-2025 school year, Carrboro Elementary School, aims to <br />invite four diverse artists/performers to provide multicultural, educational, <br />and entertaining performances for all students. Specifically, we will: <br />1. Provide four high-quality music and arts experiences to all students in <br />grades K-5. <br />2. Introduce students to a range of art forms including music, performance <br />art, dance, and theater. <br />3.
