For each multicultural <br />artist you intend to <br />hire, please list their <br />name, race, and how <br />much you plan to pay <br />them. <br />Samuel Obie, Musician/Keyboardist, African American: $500 <br />Rashii Purefoy, Choreographer/Instructor, African American, $600 <br />Dance Student, African American, $250 <br />Anthony Patterson, NCCU Student, African American: $250 <br />Kayla Beckett, NCA&TU Student, African American: $250 <br />Trevor Holman, African American: $500 <br />How will the <br />project/program be <br />publicized and <br />promoted to reach <br />intended <br />participants? <br />OCCRC will publicize and promote the event on all social media platforms <br />and through our OCCRC listserv. W e will ask each organization and <br />individual of the Coalition to do likewise. <br />In addition, we will send press releases to the local print media, radio <br />stations, faith assemblies, and community organizations. W e will submit our <br />event description to Orange County, Hillsborough, Carrboro, Chapel Hill <br />and Mebane communications teams, as well as the Communications <br />Officers of our two school districts. <br />To compliment the press releases and public service announcements, we <br />will ask to be featured or interviewed on W HUP, W CHL and W COM. <br />Finally, we would like to send hard copy invitations by mail to selected <br />individuals and groups, such as family members of the teenagers <br />participating in the project, local elected officials, teachers and community <br />leaders. <br />How will you <br />evaluate the success <br />of the program? <br />The success of the program will be determined by our ability to implement <br />and finalize the project with full participation of high school youth, graduate <br />students, young adult performers and support personnel. W e will consider <br />our project a success when we achieve: <br />-fifteen to eighteen high school students engaged in the project, completing <br />the “assignment” and able to express what they have learned <br />-two graduate students performing spoken word demonstrating their <br />comprehension of “the power of the vote” <br />-a dance performance that is choreographed to be relevant to the voting <br />rights movement <br />-music renditions on keyboard that resonate with the past, for the present <br />-heightened awareness of the work of Chapel Hill Carrboro NAACP Youth <br />Council, Carolina Friends School, and Cedar Grove Neighborhood <br />Association <br />-a well-attended finale event. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 16E66793-3E26-4E39-A35F-F0AC9D3BF45C
