The Mission of RHP is to
help these men and women to make a successful transition back into society - not
only for the sake of these individuals, but also for their families and the communities
into which they return. Our SWIT program is specifically designed to give them the
tools to “compete” equally as productive citizens in our communities, shifting power
into the lives of those who have felt powerless.
RHP is proud to have a direct alliance with SWIT (Success While in Transition) which is
owned and run by William Elmore and Tommy Green - two individuals who were
previously incarcerated for over 25 years - one with a “natural” life sentence. Recently
their program was strengthend by the addition of Liza Urena - alao previously
incarcerated - who brings new energy, perspectives, and organization to SWIT. Their
program is - in every sense - a program designed and run by men and women who
have lived the experiences that are common to all those who enter our transition
house. In addition, 40% of our Board is “of color” and either previously incarcerated or
deeply involved in justice-related issues.
Board participates in State Reentry Conference
Docusign Envelope ID: 7FDB6F4F-342E-48F9-AB32-849444E74E84
