Conducted an artist talk at Attic 506 and a gallery exhibition at <br />Peel. <br />• Samir Knego (2021) a local writer and poet who came to LEVEL to <br />branch away from his work as a disability educator and focus on more <br />purely creative and personal writing. <br />• Keenan Jenkins aka XOXOK (2021) a local musician who spent his time <br />at LEVEL working on recording new songs for a full length record with his <br />collaborator, Gabriel Reynolds. <br />• Jill Moffett (2021) a local textile and collage artist who worked a series of <br />pieces that juxtaposed outdated parenting guides collaged against <br />contemporary found media. <br />• Emily Hobgood Thomas (2020) a visual and collage artist who used her <br />time at LEVEL, as our inaugural local artist-in-residence, to start an entirely <br />new body of work. <br />• Tod Seelie (2019) a journalist and live music photographer who worked <br />on assembling a new art book. Conducted a live event photography <br />workshop at The ArtsCenter and a popup gallery exhibition in collaboration <br />with the Downtown Partnership. <br />• Fafnir Adamites (2019) a sculptor who used their time at LEVEL to <br />experiment with new mediums, creating several new outdoor sculptures. <br />Conducted an artist talk and hands-on demonstration at The ArtsCenter. <br />• Nick Chatfield-Taylor (2018) an multidisciplinary artist who built a <br />“Seussian Igloo”, which was displayed at the Coker Arboretum for Arts <br />Everywhere before being moved back to its permanent home at LEVEL. <br />LEVEL has also hosted filmmakers Kelly Sears and Ben Pender-Cudlip; <br />musicians Green Ribbon, Jace Clayton aka DJ /rupture, Tallest Man on <br />Earth, Lou Hazel, and Jenn W asner; visual/performance artist and <br />puppeteer Robin Frohardt; writer and documentary filmmaker JL Aronson; <br />and more.
