67% BIPOC participants; 55% qualified for free or reduced lunch.
A key strategic goal of Prism is to repeat and expand two of our successful
programs: Durham Youth Design W orkshop Series and the 'W hat is
Architecture?' W orkshops. This strategic goal is important because
repeating and replicating a successful program demonstrates scalability
and sustainability, showing our organization's effectiveness and impact
across multiple locations. This expansion would attract more support and
funding while fostering diversity and inclusion within the design community.
W e anticipate being able to reach twice as many under-resourced, BIPOC
and women youth with high-quality art and architecture instruction by
repeating and replicating these two successful programs.
How many Orange
County residents
does the organization
serve?
In 2023, across seven programs in public elementary, middle, and high
schools in Chapel Hill Carrboro City schools, we engaged 1,060
participants. In 2024 (as of June 1), we have served 903 young people in
Orange County.
Docusign Envelope ID: 5641B9CB-273D-4785-AA6D-57F778AAA9EF
