OC Motor Pool and Maintenance Shop <br />PDC Project 23017 Panelboards 26 24 16 - 2 <br />A.Comply with requirements of NFPA 70. <br />B.Maintain at the project site a copy of each referenced document that prescribes execution <br />requirements. <br />C.Product Listing Organization Qualifications: Third party agencies shall be amongst those <br />accredited by the NCBCC (North Carolina Building Code Council)to label Electrical and <br />Mechanical Equipment. <br />D.Contractor shall schedule a pre-energization site visit with the Engineer.Meeting shall be <br />scheduled at least 7 days in advance.The results of the megger test and service ground <br />resistance test shall be made available to the Engineer prior to scheduling the pre-energization site <br />visit. <br />1.06 DELIVERY,STORAGE,AND HANDLING <br />A.Receive,inspect,handle,and store panelboards in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br />B.Store in a clean,dry space. Maintain factory wrapping or provide an additional heavy canvas or <br />heavy plastic cover to protect units from dirt,water,construction debris,and traffic. <br />C.Handle carefully in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions to avoid damage to <br />panelboard internal components,enclosure,and finish. <br />1.07 FIELD CONDITIONS <br />A.Maintain ambient temperature within the following limits during and after installation of <br />panelboards: <br />1.Panelboards Containing Circuit Breakers: Between 23 degrees F and 104 degrees F. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MANUFACTURERS <br />A.ABB/GE: www.geindustrial.com/#sle. <br />B.Eaton Corporation. <br />C.Schneider Electric;Square D Products. <br />D.Source Limitations: Furnish panelboards and associated components produced by the same <br />manufacturer as the other electrical distribution equipment used for this project and obtained from <br />a single supplier. <br />2.02 PANELBOARDS -GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />A.Provide products listed,classified,and labeled as suitable for the purpose intended. <br />B.Unless otherwise indicated,provide products suitable for continuous operation under the following <br />service conditions: <br />1.Altitude: Less than 6,600 feet. <br />2.Ambient Temperature: <br />a.Panelboards Containing Circuit Breakers: Between 23 degrees F and 104 degrees F. <br />C.Short Circuit Current Rating: <br />1.Provide panelboards with listed short circuit current rating not less than the available fault <br />current at the installed location as indicated on the drawings. <br />2.When a power system study is included in the contract short circuit current ratings shall be <br />verified with the study prior to submitting equipment for approval.Any changes required to <br />meet the maximum available fault current shall be made in the submittal. <br />3.Series rating is not allowed. <br />D.Panelboards Used for Service Entrance: Listed and labeled as suitable for use as service <br />equipment according to UL 869A. <br />E.Mains: Configure for top or bottom incoming feed as indicated or as required for the installation. <br />F.Branch Overcurrent Protective Devices: Replaceable without disturbing adjacent devices. <br />G.Bussing: Sized in accordance with UL 67 temperature rise requirements. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: EF9C08D2-5B75-438B-8D6D-8473F81BD7C4
