OC Motor Pool and Maintenance Shop <br />PDC Project 23017 Electrical General Provisions 26 01 00 - 2 <br />A.All material and equipment shall be delivered and unloaded by the Contractor within the project <br />site as noted herein or as directed by the Owner. <br />B.The Contractor shall protect all material and equipment from breakage,theft or weather damage. <br /> No material or equipment shall be stored on the ground. <br />C.The material and equipment shall remain the property of the Contractor until the project has been <br />completed and turned over to the Owner. <br />D.Where equipment cannot be stored at the site due to exposure to the elements or lack of storage <br />space ,the contractor shall store all equipment in a bonded warehouse until the time of installation. <br />1.05 WORK CONDITIONS AND COORDINATION <br />A.The Contractor shall review the entire set of plans to establish points of connection and the extent <br />of electrical work to be provided in his Contract. <br />B.The contractor is responsible for reviewing the complete set of contract documents.Coordinate all <br />phasing requirements with architectural drawings.Coordinate equipment locations and utility <br />routing with all trades to ensure code compliance and constructibility. <br />C.This Contractor shall be responsible for all electrical work and make final connections to <br />equipment installed in his Contract. <br />D.Pipe,conduit and duct chases required for installation of work shall be provided by the General <br />Contractor unless otherwise noted. This Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating the <br />location of all required chases. <br />E.All work shall be coordinated with other trades. Cutting of new work and subsequent patching <br />shall be approved by Architect/Engineer and shall be at the Contractor's expense with no extra <br />cost to the Owner. <br />1.06 GUARANTEE <br />A.See the General and Supplementary General Conditions. <br />B.Where extended warranties or guarantees are available from the manufacturer,the Contractor <br />shall prepare the necessary Contract Documents to validate these warranties as required by the <br />manufacturer and present them to the Architect/Engineer. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIAL QUALITY <br />A.Material and equipment shall be new,unless noted otherwise,of the highest grade and quality and <br />free from defects or other imperfections. Material and equipment found defective shall be removed <br />and replaced at the Contractor's expense. <br />2.02 EQUIPMENT LISTINGS <br />A.All materials and equipment shall be third party listed by an agency accredited by the NCBCC and <br />NC Department of Insurance (NC DOI).The list of accredited agencies may be obtained on <br />NCDOI's web site. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A.If any part of this Contractor's work is dependent for its proper execution or for its subsequent <br />efficiency or appearance on the character or conditions of contiguous work not executed by him, <br />the Contractor shall examine and measure such contiguous work and report to the Architect or <br />Engineer in writing any imperfection therein,or conditions that render it unsuitable for the reception <br />of this work. Should the Contractor proceed without making such written report,he shall be held to <br />have accepted such work and the existing conditions and he shall be responsible for any defects in <br />this work consequent hereon and will not be relieved of the obligation of any guarantee because of <br />any such imperfection or condition. <br />B.After the designer pre-final inspection and confirmation that the final punch list items have been <br />completed.The contractor shall schedule a final electrical inspection with the local inspections <br />office. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: EF9C08D2-5B75-438B-8D6D-8473F81BD7C4
