Orange County, NC

On-Premise OnCall Dispatch Implementation
Statement of Work 23
9. Virtual Server and OnCall Software Staging
Task Description
This Task is intended to facilitate the installation and configuration of virtual machines, Microsoft SQL
Servers utilizing SQL Developer edition, the client specific OnCall software suite, associated Third Party
Software, and load balancers. This Task will occur in multiple steps. This Task will result in a working
environment that will be configured in future tasks. Hexagon will perform all related tasks as described via
the Hexagon OnCall Management Tool which utilizes PowerShell for automation of the tasks described
herein.
Hexagon will initially confirm the hardware has been configured and set up according to Hexagon
standards and able to receive the Software. If deviations are identified, Hexagon will notify the Customer
and the Customer will take prompt action to address the deviation.
Hexagon will begin this Task by working with the customer to install the virtual servers into the virtual
environment identified by the Customer. Hexagon will work with the customer to create the virtual servers,
assigning them the required CPU, memory, and disk space, set server names and IP addresses, and join
the virtual servers to the domain. Hexagon shall also work with the customer to create GPO to add
Hexagon Administrator groups to the local administrator groups of the servers to allow Hexagon the
required access for this Project.
Hexagon will also complete the following SQL Implementation Steps: Create SQL Service Accounts,
install and configure Windows Failover Clustering, enable and configure SQL AlwaysOn Availability
group(s) with an associated Availability Group Listener, and Test SQL AlwaysOn Availability Group(s) for
proper failover.
Hexagon will install and perform initial configuration of the Hexagon OnCall Product Suite included in this
Project. Hexagon shall stage and install Software Products on the virtual servers, which includes creating
the directory, setting up folder permissions, installing the Hexagon license servers, and installing and
setting up Software Products. Software installed during this Task does not constitute a fully configured
system. Additional configuration Tasks are described later in this SOW.
Hexagon will install and configure the load balancers. Hexagon and Customer will hold a meeting to
discuss and provide consultation regarding which URLs will be used by the load balancers (“Load
Balancer Meeting”). The Customer will ultimately determine and be responsible for the selection of the
URLs that will be utilized by the OnCall Product Suite. Hexagon will use those URLs to configure the load
balancer VIPs. The load balancers will be configured for GSLB (Global Site Load Balancing) and or HA
(High Availability). Special DNS entries will need to be made to delegate the name resolution of the URLs
if using GSLB. The Customer should test the configuration of the load balancers.
As part of this Task, Hexagon will initiate the Site Configuration document. At this stage this document is
a draft that will be updated throughout the Project.
Task Deliverables
Draft Site configuration Document
Installation of OnCall Product Suite(s)
URLs configured on the Load Balancers
Ability to login to most of the applications (Some require additional configuration before functional,
like OnCall Analytics)
Docusign Envelope ID: 463E937D-8F02-4D22-9EEA-B2B50627D9E0Docusign Envelope ID: DE681D27-7D55-4FB6-8C51-9394D26FBC9E
