Please download the excel <br />spreadsheet and fill out the demographic data in the table and then upload it <br />with your application. Provide one copy per program that you are requesting <br />funding for. <br />Program Cost <br />This cost per individual must reflect the total program budget divided by the <br />total number of program individuals in this application. <br />Actual Cost 2022-2023 <br />Total Program Cost (Actual 2022-2023) <br />20405 <br />Total Number of Individuals (Actual 2022-2023) <br />88 <br />The Earthkeepers Afterschool Program addresses Chapel Hill and Carrboro's <br />Strategic Objective 1, or "children improve their education outcomes," as well as <br />Orange County's goal to "ensure a high quality of life and lifelong learning that <br />champions diversity, education at all levels, libraries, parks, recreation, and <br />animal welfare." Through our programs, children ages 5-14 from all walks of life <br />can learn naturalist skills that improve their awareness, creativity, and problem- <br />solving abilities. Both the students and their teachers are encouraged to ask <br />questions to heighten their curiosity, challenge their observations, and keep them <br />wondering. Students develop a relationship with what sparks their interest, <br />motivating them to preserve and protect our environment, continue learning, and <br />use these skills in the classroom. In FY 23-24, we brought our program to three <br />middle schools in Orange County with an elementary school to start spring 2024. <br />In FY 24-25, we intend to continue the programs at the existing schools and <br />expand into additional elementary schools. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: F9E3EFAB-16FA-4281-B2B8-12C1DD0C3608
