We have changed our
scholarship process, removing the application fee and tax document requirement that
may have caused privacy concerns or barriers, replacing it with a letter of
recommendation;offer after-school programs at several schools in the Triangle and
are working to lower or eliminate costs for these programs to participants; and we are
advertising our open staff positions where candidates of all backgrounds are more
likely to see them. Our board has created a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee
with the goal of diversifying our board and staff. Both board members and full time
staff are participating in DEI workshops, and we have added DEI training for our
seasonal staff.
Docusign Envelope ID: F9E3EFAB-16FA-4281-B2B8-12C1DD0C3608
