In collaboration with a diverse community of
local Black and Indigenous stakeholders, we execute this program with the aim of
continuously evolving the platform to serve the community better.

For decades, we have collaborated closely with the Occaneechi Band of the Saponi
Nation, actively contributing to the rebuilding and upkeep of the Occaneechi Replica
Village. At the request of the tribal council, we took on the responsibility of facilitating
the expansion of the village's historical interpretation. This involved the development
of educational signage and self-guided tools to enhance the visitor experience and
provide valuable insights into their rich history.
Along with our work with the OBSN and our Telling the Full Story Committee, the staff
is dedicated to actively engaging in educational opportunities that further our
connections and knowledge of not only racial issues but also intersectionality.
Docusign Envelope ID: FF1380BF-C4AC-418A-8F31-F443232B396D
