We are requesting basic
information about your organization’s racial equity work.
Describe how the agency incorporates racial equity into its goals. (150 word limit)
Racial equity is a dynamic and ongoing process that demands continual evaluation
and adaptation. Presently, our organization focuses on three crucial elements:
enhancing education and awareness of local issues, fostering community
engagement, and delivering culturally competent programming. Our initial imperative
is to grasp the intricacies of racial equity issues, comprehend historical contexts, and
recognize systemic biases. This involves actively pursuing educational opportunities
and establishing connections with like-minded organizations that can furnish
resources for our ongoing growth.
Moreover, we are committed to listening and learning directly from communities most
affected by these issues. Through proactive engagement, we seek input from diverse
racial and ethnic groups, ensuring that our programming caters to the community's
varied needs. This approach aids in the development of culturally competent
programming, fostering accessibility and inclusivity.
A noteworthy example of our commitment is the creation of 'Telling the Full Story.’
Docusign Envelope ID: FF1380BF-C4AC-418A-8F31-F443232B396D
