Confidential
Prepared for Orange County North Carolina
Launch of Recruitment Activities
Sunstates Security understands that the key to success depends on the selection of a capable,
well-motivated work force, and it is essential that your incumbent personnel be treated with
fairness, dignity and the respect that they deserve as valued team members. We will do
whatever it takes to ensure that your existing staff are handled properly and professionally and
given every consideration for continued assignment in service to your properties if you wish to
retain them. Following are the general steps in our transition process for screening and
onboarding incumbent employees.
• Initial Client Consultation. During our initial transition meeting Sunstates will review the
current status of existing officers (to include existing pay rates, tenure, level of benefits
and strengths/weaknesses) as well solicit feedback regarding any or all team members
that the client would like to retain.

• Communication Bulletin. Within one week after notification of award and the initial
planning meeting, the local Operations Manager will distribute a memo of introduction
to all existing personnel inviting them to apply for continued assignment with the client.
The manager will deliver the bulletins at the beginning of each shift, allowing him to
personally meet the officers and answer any immediate questions they may have. The
introduction bulletin will provide background information about our company, conta ct
information for the local manager, and direction to begin the online application
process.

• Open House / Company Introduction Meetings. Sunstates will schedule several
introduction sessions to provide information about the company, our hiring standards,
and the application process. This will also provide officers with an opportunity to ask
questions about employment guidelines, benefits, etc.

• Online Application Process. Incumbent officers wishing to apply with Sunstates will be
directed to our website to complete an online application and questionnaire through
Kwantek. This system allows officers to set up an account and provide information and
e-consent for conducting background investigations and scheduling a drug test.

• Interview. After online applications have been received, local management will
interview each officer to determine their suitability for continued assignment.

• Conditional Job Offer. Assuming the background check is approved and the officer
meets Sunstates qualification standards, an employment offer will be extended to the
officer including a detailed job description, uniform/appearance requirements and
compensation / benefits information. This provisional offer is dependent upon the
candidate successfully passing their drug screen.
Docusign Envelope ID: 08873B1B-BC4C-44E2-88E7-6F159AB20086
